The Planning Division is responsible for reviewing development proposals for consistency with the City of Alachua Comprehensive Plan and compliance with the City’s Land Development Regulations.  In addition, the Planning Division performs various long range planning functions for the City of Alachua, ensuring the smart and effective growth of the City.

Future land use designations and zoning designations of properties can be obtained through Alachua County Map Genius. To locate a property, use the search bar and enter the address, tax parcel number, or property owner. Once the property is selected, select the drop-down menu titled "Zoning & Future Land Use". Click "Get Zoning District" or "Get Future Land Use" on the menu to view the zone district or future land use designation respectively.
