The City of Alachua Planning & Community Development Department is committed to ensuring quality development through compliance with the City of Alachua Comprehensive Plan, City Land Development Regulations, the Florida Building Code, and other ordinances and resolutions.

Several divisions comprise the Planning & Community Development Department including Building, Code Enforcement, and Planning. These divisions are here to assist residents and businesses on a myriad of issues including zoning changes, new construction, redevelopment, and many others.
