Commissioner Jennifer Ringersen has been a resident of Alachua County since 1993 and has lived in the City of Alachua since 1999.

She has worked for O2B kids since 2003. Aside from her current role as Regional Manager, Commissioner Ringersen has held several positions throughout her career, from Facility Manager, administration, sales, After-School Director and Bus Driver Trainer. It is proven that 85% of a child's brain is developed within the first five years of life, and Commissioner Ringersen firmly believes in the importance of building strong relationships in the community that encourage parents to enroll their children in local preschools. Aside from all that, Commissioner Ringersen can be found coaching, training and mentoring people of all ages—learning never ceases. Given her notion that our youth is so impressionable, she spends time coaching basketball for the City, and during her role as a basketball coach, she makes sure to find time to mentor them at the same time.

Commissioner Ringersen has also served as liaison with local agencies to enforce state regulations and compliance standards, planning and implementing student programming for preschool, afterschool and curriculum for the academic year. She currently serves on the board for the Early Learning Coalition of Alachua County, as well as the board for her local Homeowners Association.

She believes her foundational community relationships, and being the voice for the people, is vital. She continues to foster such relationships across all of Alachua's community educational institutions, specifically emphasizing early education, Head Start and VPK programs.

Commissioner Ringersen has excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with proven leadership and employee retention success. She uses her firm foundation in communication to build a firm culture with open communication and transparency. Recently, Commissioner Ringersen received back-to-back awards for Educator of the Year.

She believes children are the future, and their relationships—particularly when they're younger—mold them into productive citizens of world.
