When I call the Police Department how does the dispatcher know where I live?

  1. The Alachua Police Department is not on the address system of the county; therefore, you must give us the most complete and accurate directions to your home. It is helpful, and can be critical; that your address is posted clearly and visibly for prompt location of your residence.
  2. To obtain your 9-1-1 address call (386) 418-6120.
