City of Alachua

The City of Alachua City Commission will meet in an executive session on Monday, February 1, 2010, at 5:30 p.m.  The meeting will be held in the James A. Lewis Commission Chambers in City Hall, located at 15100 N.W. 142nd Terrace, Alachua, Florida.

The executive session will be attended by Mayor Bonnie Burgess, Vice Mayor Gib Coerper, Commissioner Jean Calderwood, Commissioner Orien Hills, Commissioner Gary Hardacre, Interim City Manager Traci Cain, and City Attorney Marian B. Rush.

The subject matter of the executive session is the case of Charles Grapski and Michael Canney vs. City of Alachua, filed in the Circuit Court of the Eighth Judicial Circuit, In And For Alachua County, Florida, Case No.: 01 2007 CA 102, Division J, including its appeal in Case No.: 1D09-509 before the Florida First District Court of Appeal.  The discussions during this session shall be confined to settlement negotiations and/or strategy relating to litigation expenditures.  The session will be recorded by a certified court reporter.
