Notice is hereby given that the City Commission and the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Alachua will hold a workshop on October 13, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. The workshop will be held in the Commission Chambers of City Hall, at 15100 NW 142nd Terrace, Alachua, Florida. The City Commission and Planning and Zoning Board will discuss the preparation of and identify potential major community issues to be addressed in the City’s Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) of the Comprehensive Plan.

Materials related to the workshop are available for public inspection at the Planning and Community Development Department, 15100 N.W. 142nd Terrace, Alachua, Florida, on any regular business day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning on the Friday before the scheduled meeting. Written comments may be sent to the following address:  City of Alachua, Planning and Community Development, P. O. Box 9, Alachua, FL 32616.  Notice is given pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, that in order to appeal any decision made at these public hearings, you will need a verbatim record of the proceedings.  It will be your responsibility to ensure that a verbatim record is made.  In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, any persons with a disability requiring reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this meeting should call the City Clerk at (386) 418-6100 x 101 at least 48 hours prior to the public hearing.
