A.        Second Reading and Second Public Hearing of Ordinance 10-1: An Ordinance of the City of Alachua, Florida, amending section 4.6 of the City of Alachua’s Land Development Regulations related to special events; to remove the requirement that a special event obtain a Temporary Use Permit; to require that a special event obtain a Special Event Permit; to remove the exemption for special events sponsored in whole or in part by the City or State of Florida from obtaining a permit and meeting the standards of Section 4.6, and to revise provisions related to the duration of permit approval. (This is a Legislative Hearing).

The ±5.40 acre subject property for the proposed amendment is located at 13680 NW 104th Terrace, Alachua, Florida, in the southeast quadrant of the intersection of NW US

Highway 441 and NW 104th Terrace, in the Alachua Professional Center. Existing FLUM: Industrial; Existing Zoning: Light & Warehouse Industrial (ILW); Tax Parcel Nos. 05949-011-001; 05949-011-007; and a portion of 05949-011-006 (this is a legislative hearing).
