You will need to apply for and receive a permit from the Alachua County Health Department. The website for the Alachua County Health Department is www.doh.state.fl.us/chdAlachua.   You must provide a copy of the receipt where you have applied for a permit at the time you apply to the Building Department for a permit and a copy of the actual Health Department permit must be presented to the Building Department before a Certificate of Occupancy will be issued.
