How will I know when I need inspections?

E-mail Print PDF
Inspection depends on what is involved in the project.  Simply stated, an inspection is required prior to covering up any part of the construction.

It is the responsibility of the contractor/owner to call for the inspections.  The permit and all construction documents must be displayed on the job site at the time an inspection is made.  No inspection will be made if the proper documents are not on site when the inspector comes to inspect and a re-inspection fee will be charged for the site visit.

Inspections are performed Monday through Friday.  Please call the day before to schedule an inspection for the following day.  The inspector gets a list of all inspections due to be performed for the day in the morning and at that time will set up the best route for him to follow to insure that all inspections for the day are made.
